DSL (Digital Subscriber Line) is one of several choices businesses and consumers now have to move large amounts of information more quickly between their computer and other places, like the Internet. Released in 1989, DSL is a proven technology that is being rapidly deployed to meet the increased demand for broadband services.
The term "broadband" is often defined as providing "bigger pipes".
