Windows 2000 Dial-up Phone Number Change

  1. Double-click on the My Computer icon.

  2. Double-click on Control Panel icon.

  3. Double-click on Network and Dial-up Connections.

  4. Here you should be able to find an icon which refers to your The Computer Works connection. This is probably called “tcworks.net” or “The Computer Works” but could also be “My Connection” or anything else that you chose when you configured your computer. Click this icon with your right mouse button, and select Properties from the drop-down list.

  5. One of the settings that you will see in this window indicates the phone number which your modem uses to connect with tcworks. Click here for a list of dialup numbers.

  6. Click OK. You are now ready to connect to the new phone number.
